The Board of Directors and Production Team are happy to once again offer our dancers the opportunity to design our production tshirt for "The Nutcracker". We are always impressed with the additional talents of our dancers, and look forward to seeing what they can create. The rules and guidelines for the contest are listed below. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Most important item to note -- the deadline to submit your entry is Sunday, September 25th at 6:00 pm. Please do not ask for exceptions to this deadline. Everything for this project will be on a very tight timeline, and we have to stick to our schedule.
1) You may not use clipart or images from the internet unless you have confirmed they are free to use. If a design is submitted with clipart or other images that require a licensing fee, ORCBA reserves the right to make necessary changes.
2) Due to printing costs - designs may only include 2 colors. (Black and White count as colors.) ORCBA reserves the right to make any changes necessary to facilitate printing. It is also acceptable to just submit a sketch, and the Production Team will add colors.
3) The total artwork must fit in a 9" wide x 10" high area. You do not have to use the entire area. It will be printed on the front of the shirt ONLY as one single imprint (no sleeve, hem, collar, etc.).
4) The artwork should contain "ORCBA presents", "The Nutcracker", and "November 2022", or leave room for those elements to be added.
5) All submitted artwork becomes the property of ORCBA, even if it is not selected to be on this year's cast and crew shirt.
6) The selected artwork will be used only on the cast and crew shirt for Nutcracker 2022.
7) You are only designing the front of the shirt; the back of the shirt will contain sponsor logos and a list of the cast and crew.
8) This contest is open to any current cast member.
9) All submissions must be sent as a JPEG to [email protected]. In the event your artwork is chosen as a finalist and you have prepared more print-ready files (i.e, EPS, PDF) we will ask you to submit those after the contest.
10) Qualifiying designs will be selected by the Production Team. Designs will be posted and online voting will take place within the Cast Member section of the ORCBA website by Wednesday, September 28th for cast members to review prior to voting.
11) Voting for the winning design will take place in the Cast Member section of the website Wednesday, September 28th - Sunday October 1st. Voting is open to all current cast members - one vote per cast member.
12) The contest winner will receive 2 additional t-shirts of any size with their design.
