ORCBA was excited to present "Fairy Tale to Fairy Tale" for our Spring 2023 production. Stay tuned for more information as we move into our 60th Season! #orcba60thSeason
We need your help! For almost 60 years, the Oak Ridge Civic Ballet Association (ORCBA) has staged twice-yearly performances of popular ballets like The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. During this time, hundreds of area dancers of all ages and skill levels have benefitted from the chance to perform in high-quality productions in front of thousands of audience members.
Due to the pandemic, we were forced to cancel our 2020 spring show that was already in production. This means we incurred almost all of our normal expenses for a show but had no ticket revenue to help offset those costs. We also had to strictly limit ticket sales for the next season’s performances which cut deeply into our main source of revenue. Attendance at our most recent show was close to pre-pandemic levels, but we are still suffering from the effects of these closures.
ORCBA is still committed to providing affordable access to our performances for both our dancers and spectators. We do this by keeping production fees and tickets prices low, however, this means production fees and ticket sales cover just a portion of our staging costs. We rely on the support of our generous donors like you to help us bridge this gap.
ORCBA is asking for your support to help us continue our nearly 60-year tradition. Donations of any size will help us continue our mission of providing affordable access to classical ballet in East Tennessee. You can support dancers of all skill and income levels in their pursuit of the arts and sharing that with our community. Most importantly, your donation helps lay the foundation for another 60 years.
